Starting the game and logging into the platform is very simple as the game is not technically a gambling platform and does not require lengthy security checks, bank details to be entered and an initial deposit. If you register as a member on the official website of Solare.
After registering, just enter your email, choose your username and club name (both of which you can change anytime you want) and you can choose your favorite team. This is important. Because you will receive players of these clubs in an in-game tutorial explaining some basics of the game. As you complete each stage, open the pack and these generic cards will be available while in Sorare.
These cards cannot be bought or sold, but can be used to win cash-worthy prizes in tournaments. Since this is a peer-to-peer game, it’s wiser to pick a stronger team to get the cards than pick a club you like. There’s something like a World Cup, but games have team strength ratings. Teams that tend to dominate the league, control ball possession, and score more goals also tend to have the highest scorers.
Ajax, Bayern Munich and PSG are good choices. However, you might want to look at the schedule of upcoming games as you don’t want to start a championship with tired players coming with a big chance. For example, if you pick three European teams as your favorites in one month, most of the cards will be unavailable the following month. At this point, some strong MLS or Japanese teams might be better options.
Ultimately, most cards come with the luck of the draw and the player who actually gets them. Most new players will receive a mix of good and bad cards.
Beginner League Beginner Entry
Once you have a starting share pool, you are ready to enter the Rookie League. As long as there are soccer games (almost always there are!), two rookie tournaments kick off a week. As with all tournaments in Sorare, participation is free, and you can even place your team in each tournament, even if you don’t have four full players. Even if no players are in the game, you can still get another generic card to add to your collection. However, if you score well, you are more likely to get better cards.
You can enter a team by clicking on the ‘Play’ tab and selecting the next “open” game week. For now, only rookie leagues are available and you just need to select 2 players (ideally the ones you think will do well in that round) to confirm entry. You can use a 1-1-1, 2-1-1 or 1-2-1 formation.
You can enter the game one team per day, and if you’re in the top 10% you’ll get a very nice card. In almost all cases this will be a new normal card, but the top positions get a rare card (which can be sold or traded). Click ‘View Prizes’ to see an exact breakdown of how prizes are distributed. Once the action begins, you can monitor players’ scores and leaderboard positions in the ‘Play’ tab.
There is no longer a limit on how long you can enter the Rookie League. This is essentially a free version of the game, and if you’re not interested in spending money on Sorare, you can keep playing forever.
However, for most users, the regular cards and rookie leagues are just samples, and to really experience the platform, you will need to purchase the rarer cards – Limited, Rare, Super Rare, and Unique.

It’s worth taking the time to play Rookie League, get used to the platform, and jump right in to stock up on a bunch of limited cards. Thorare isn’t too complicated once you get the hang of it, but there’s a lot to learn for beginners. But eventually you will need to fund your account to progress in the game.
Sorare is a global platform and its operating currency is Ethereum, the second largest cryptocurrency. There are no special Thorare tokens.
To deposit Ethereum, you need a separate Ethereum wallet on cryptocurrency sites like Coinbase or Bitpanda. From there, you can deposit ETH to your Sorare account by clicking on the ‘Wallet’ tab on the top right of the screen and following the instructions.

If you have no experience with cryptocurrencies and all of this seems a bit daunting, you can simply fund your account using a debit card or bank transfer and the sum of your deposits will be converted to ETH. You can also purchase individual players using your debit card, so you don’t need much crypto knowledge to play Sorare, but it’s worth learning at least some of the basics. The next step in the Rookie League is Division 5. At this level, only Limited Cards (Gold Cards) are available which are less restrictive and consequently cheaper to purchase than Rare, Super Rare and Unique. It cannot be obtained in Rookie Tournaments, so must be purchased to compete.
Some newcomers may be more attracted to The Division 4, which offers greater opportunities to earn ETH, which can be a great way to build balance. Joining a Division 4 team requires a minimum of three Rare cards, but Common is available. Having a good joint keeper can save you a lot of money in the market. There are three main ways to purchase Player Cards in Sorare.
Auction
Sorare is constantly releasing new player cards to the market in all four rarities. These can be found by clicking on the ‘Market’ tab and selecting ‘Cards’ from the ‘New Card Auction’ section in the main menu at the top. Auctions typically last about 24 to 48 hours and are based on a single highest bid. Auctions that are nearing completion are automatically displayed, but on the left there are various filters you can use to find a target.

Second, existing managers (Top Hats by default) can place cards they want to sell and view them in the ‘Manager Sales’ section. ‘Markets’ tab. Most players are listed at inflated prices, so do your research and make sure you have the ability to properly review players before buying.
Suggest directly to another admin
Another way to buy a new card is to offer directly to another hat. Once you have a few players in mind you want to buy, use the search function to find all the great cards from players you’re interested in. Click on the card to see the ‘Make a Suggestion’ option.
Combining approaches 2 and 3 is a good way. You can use the transfer market to find a card your manager is willing to sell, and then offer it directly to you at a price you think is fair, below the “buy it now” percentage. Many managers are also discord, so sometimes you can approach and trade directly with them.
You don’t need to know much about buying/selling cards at first, but you will know how it works in your first card buying experience. Depending on your strategy, the point at which you need to sell a player may be just around the corner.
If you’re more focused on trading or starting out on a small budget, buying cards cheap and selling them at a profit can help you build a larger budget quickly. Even if you don’t want to, you can still get offers from other admins, which you can view by clicking on ‘Provised Bid’ in the ‘My Club’ tab.
If you’re looking to sell cards, you can greatly encourage these offers by listing your players for sale. To do this, first go to ‘My Clubs’ in the main menu and then click on ‘My Cards’. This is probably Sorare’s most important screen, showing the entire collection. To list a player, simply click on the card you wish to sell, click ‘Sell My Cards’, set a ask price and they will be listed on the transfer market for 48 hours.
You’ll get a notification when someone buys a card or makes an offer. Before setting a ask price, you can go to that player’s screen and see what other admins have listed him for. If you don’t advertise your card at a competitive price, you won’t get many offers.
Tournament Participation
Participating in a major tournament works basically the same as a rookie tournament. Again you have to choose four players in a 2-1-1, 1-2-1 or 1-1-2 formation. Even if you don’t make a lineup change, you won’t be automatically admitted, so check your team before every game.
The deadline for submissions is 12:00 PM CET (approximately 09:00 AM PT) on Tuesdays (for midweek games) and Fridays (for weekends). Players sold after the cutoff date will still count towards that game week’s score, but will not carry over to the following week.
The tournaments you can enter depend primarily on your budget and the size and composition of your collection. For starters on a tight budget, The Division 5 is the cheapest with limited cards available. Divisions 1-4 have a variety of structures that can be used in a mix of different rarities, as shown below.
Sorare’s Law
Divisions 1-5 have global and regional leagues. Globals (you can play with all players in all regions) may be the easiest to start with, but you may decide you prefer to target a specific region. The regions are divided into Asia, Americas, European Champions and European Challengers.
Even if you’re more interested in trading or collecting than tournaments, it’s wise to try to bring as many teams to the pitch as possible. There is absolutely no cost to enter a tournament, and there is always a chance to win a prize (or new card, or ETH) if you size well and choose your team wisely.
Over time, as you get more cards, or more trust in the platform, and more deposits, you’ll gradually be able to compete in more leagues and perhaps even move up a division. But it’s important to get the basics right first and not rush things while figuring out how Thorare works, how players are rated, and how best to compete in different leagues.
If you’re still a bit lost at this point, don’t worry! Sorare isn’t as complicated as it might seem at first, and as with many things, trying it out on your own is the best way to learn.
5 Quick Sorare Tips for Beginners
Athlete Training – With games played each week, we recommend getting all players into training leagues unless they are being used in major tournaments. Even if you don’t have a match, you’ll still earn some XP that gradually increases the power and ultimately the value of your cards over time.

It’s completely free, provides more information about each player than what’s on Sorare itself, and lets everyone see the scores they’ve posted over the last 40 matches and all prices they’ve traded before. .
In the early stages of determining your goals, you’ll probably spend more time here than you would in Sorare itself, and while it can be time consuming, proper knowledge can really pay off in the long run.
Find your strengths – This is a global platform covering football in over 20 countries. This makes for a truly unique environment and you will find a real advantage if you are extremely experienced in one of the less popular leagues. Few Sorare coaches are K-League or J-League experts, but still many regularly buy and sell Asian players and participate in Asian tournaments.
If not, you can actually decide to join one of the minor leagues and watch the games and educate yourself. It shouldn’t take long to gain an edge in the market, and it’s also worth noting that many players from Asia and the Americas are actually scoring better than the elite stars from Europe.
Take advantage of the short term – There’s a lot of short-term thinking about Sorare. Managers usually focus on making sure they have the right cards for the field team in the next round rather than looking at the big picture. If you’re willing to play the game longer, buying out-of-season players or buying players who are injured or deformed is a strategy that can really pay off.
Typically, players skyrocket in value as the start of each season approaches. With the proper knowledge and research, this type of change can really be taken advantage of, and if you do it right in a fast-growing market, you can get big returns in just a few months!
Watch out for the decimal point! – This may seem obvious, but you would be surprised how often a player is sold for up to 10 times their value just because someone mistakenly entered 0,2 ETH instead of 0,02. Don’t be like that! Also beware of some managers intentionally offering 7,20% of the current rate to trick people. There is a lock button. Don’t be afraid to use it.
